Luis Olaso at The BoTree for Frieze London 2024

This October, we’re turning our lobby into a canvas for Frieze London 2024. We’ve teamed up with our friends at JD Malat Gallery to bring the bold, abstract world of Luis Olaso to life.

Luis Olaso, a visual artist from Bilbao, creates abstract botanical pieces that are deeply inspired by his emotions and personal reflections. His artistic practice is divided into two stages: action and analysis. He paints impulsively, creating shapes, spots and colour planes before stepping back and observing his work, often analysing for hours before going back for further creative expression. He incorporates plant elements into his paintings, interested in the visual tension between colour, geometry, organic shapes and accidents.

Running from 9th – 13th October, the exhibition will showcase Olaso’s 6-piece Pot and Flowers display. Come to the lobby and enjoy his works.
