NATURAL VISION IMPROVEMENT

We do yoga to stretch, strengthen and relax the muscles in our body. The muscles around our eyes need yoga, too. Our eyes are a part of our body that is often overlooked as having the potential to heal. Since the early 1900's natural vision improvement techniques such as palming, sunning, blinking, swinging, acupressure and relaxation practices have helped many thousands of people to improve their vision.

However, in our fast-paced world of instant success, improving one's vision has eluded most people. There are two reasons for this. First, the stresses and demands of our visual system are greater today than they have ever been. We spend much of our time indoors under artifical lighting, working on computers, reading, watching TV, playing video games. Our eyes are happiest and most relaxed when they are viewing distant objects in natural sunlight. Second is that most people don't have the time it takes to do the exercises and habits required to improve their eyesight. Most people give up before they see progress.

Now there is an alternative. A revolutionary new vision training system developed by Dr. Jacob Liberman has been shown to improve many vision conditions in less than 10 minutes a day. The Exercise Your Eyes (EYEPORT) system is different from previous vision training programs in its use of blinking red and blue lights. The alternating lights exercise and train the eyes to work together and see more clearly in a simple and easy to use routine. Results in two studies have shown improvement in acuity, tracking, depth perception in 3 weeks of use.

Vision Conditions

Because your eyes are extensions of your brain, improving your eyesight can help not only with vision conditions but many learning conditions as well, including:

Nearsightedness
Farsightedness
Astigmatism
Presbyopia (“Middle-age Sight”)
Computer strain
Sports vision
Eye teaming difficulties
Reading difficulties

Vision Improvement Sessions

As each person's vision is unique, each person's path to vision improvement is also unique. A private vision lesson usually begins with a 10-minute EYEPORT session. Some people benefit from purchasing the EYEPORT and continuing the program at home. The EYEPORT may be purchased from Teresa Bowen. The fee for a one hour session is $60. The cost of the EYEPORT is $200. A one hour session plus EYEPORT is $230. Teresa available for follow up questions at no charge.

Some people prefer to meet for a series of private sessions. Teresa Bowen's personalized treatments are never rushed and address the body on multiple levels. Depending upon your initial vision condition, and your vision goals, sessions may also include colored light therapy, and Acupressure. Teresa encourages her clients to participate in their own vision health care, often suggesting a home routine of exercises, proper vision habits and lifestyle changes.

Study Shows Vision Training Helps Little Leaguers
Improve Batting

Teresa Bowen, a vision educator and avid baseball fan has coached her son's Little League team in Davis, California for 5 years. During this time, Teresa has watched many coaches yell at batters to watch the ball as they strike out time after time. She has also seen many talented players with great mechanics drop out of baseball because of poor hitting performance. In April of 2004, as Dr. Jacob Liberman was demonstrating EYEPORT Training System at a conference in San Francisco, she had an insight that the EYEPORT might help these children become better batters by improving their visual skills. In August of 2004, her inspiration led her to conduct a study with twelve little league players. The players did E.Y.E. training for 10 minutes a day for 3 weeks. During this time, no games or practices were scheduled. At the end of 3 weeks the players had improved their batting by 34%. The study was published in The Journal of Behavioral Optometry in 2005 (Voulume 16). For more about this study, download Baseball EYE Study. or Mavericks Vision.
