Meghan has been practicing yoga since 1999. During the
first few years of her yoga practice, Meghan primarily
practiced
and trained in the Ashtanga
and Iyengar styles. She began to teach in 2001, while pursuing
her B.S. in Exercise Science at UC Davis.
In 2002, Meghan's yoga both blossomed and rooted when she met her teacher, Shiva
Rea. Shiva's path of living yoga, rather than doing yoga, her natural Bhakti
quality she brought to the practice, and the way she softened the intensity of
the practice with pulsation and deep devotion to the Shakti have continued to
inspire and influence Meghan's practice, teaching, and life. Since then, Meghan
has completed several teacher's immersions and retreats with Shiva, including
a yoga and ayurveda study in Kerala , India . She recently completed her 500
hour RYT with Shiva as a Prana Flow teacher.
TERI
BOWEN
Natural Vision Improvement
Teri is the creator and visionary behind The Bo
Tree. Her evolution from an engineer into a creator of space for healing
is
quite inspirational. In 1999 she experienced a dramatic improvement in
her eyesight. That experience solidified her belief in the innate
healing capacity of the human body.
Her belief that any condition can be reversed and any illness healed
is huge. She now knows that
real healing occurs when people connect with each other, without doctors
and drugs.
Given
a
healthy
space,
surrounded by like-minded people, mixed with a little yoga, massage,
and acupuncture, she believes anything is possible. Through
her
guidance,
The
Bo Tree
has
become
more than
a
yoga studio,
but a place people come together to
connect, heal and tap into the flow of "Miracles Happen, Dreams Come
True. All Things are Forever Possible."

CHRISTINE
POLLARD
Yoga, Vinyasa
Christine began practicing yoga in 2000 and starting teaching in 2004.
In the years since she first began this journey Christine has been continually
amazed and delighted by the infinite adaptability of her yoga practice
to the changes in her life. She finds that yoga offers health, strength
and flexibility to her body; and likewise offers those attributes to
her mind and spirit as she turns to face each new bend in her life’s
path. For Christine yoga is a practice of self-realization that extends
beyond her mat and into her daily activities and relationships. It is
a joy for Christine to help her students discover what practicing yoga
can bring to their own lives. Christine is a 2004 graduate of The Bo
Tree’s Teacher Training Program and is a Registered Yoga Teacher
with Yoga Alliance. Christine practices yoga in the world with her
son, Eli.
ANA
PEREZ-EXPOSITO
Yoga, Vinyasa
Ana
started practicing yoga in 1999 with Alejandro Maldonado, a great
Ashtanga teacher in Mexico City who
opened a world of strength
and movement to body and heart. The discovery of vinyasa flow with
Meghan Bowen introduced an unlimited world of breath waves and
freedom to her practice. She completed the Yoga Teacher’s
Training at The Bo Tree in 2005 and recently a long workshop with
Ana Forrest. Spending two years in one of the poorest countries
in the world where suffering and joy are full of intensity transformed
her individual practice into a shared one by teaching. Meditation
became a way to discover the transformational and healing capacity
of the mind when she completed an Introductory Course of Tibetan
Buddhist Meditation and the first level Reiki tune last year in
Nepal.
Ana believes that yoga movement is natural to all beings and with a
little of Latin flavor she tries to transmit this powerful 5,000 year
old oral tradition that was given to us as a wonderful gift to open the
heart and clear the mind through the breath and the kindness of strength.
